Taking Men of Christ
Over the past 20 years, the Men of Christ mission has grown in ways we never really imagined. In the beginning, it was about a conference to bring men together in a show of unity and love for our faith. But it quickly became apparent that the men wanted more. They enjoyed the camaraderie, discussions, and new friendships.
Today, our team provides a number of ways for men to grow in their faith.
Retreats
Men of Christ works with organizations such as Opus Dei, Cursillo and Retrouvaille Marriage to help men grow in their faith, and as the leader of their family. Retreats are typically three-day events, held within a couple hours of the greater Milwaukee area. If you are interested in a retreat weekend, contact us for more information on upcoming events.
Men’s Groups
More than 50 men’s groups have formed because of the commitment of our local leaders. They have brought programs such as That Man is You, Crossing the Goal, Emmaus 90, and COR to their parishes. Leadership Training
Men of Christ has partnered with a number of respected organizations and the Archdiocese of Milwaukee to provide training and seminars throughout the year. We’ve led men to a deeper understanding of their faith, through the struggles of divorce, and the importance of fatherhood. The Ripple Effect
At Men of Christ, we have a saying: “If you have an idea, you own it. Just do it very well.” Our regional and parish leaders have pulled together some awesome ways to reach out to men (and women) through unique organizations and events. Women of Christ was the first and has been going strong for nearly twenty years, right here in Milwaukee. Virtue Baseball was formed by men who wanted the game to be more than practice and games for their boys. And the Catholic Men’s Leadership Alliance was formed to unite men’s conferences nationwide in order to learn from each other’s successes. Men of Christ is so much more than a conference. It’s a ripple effect of goodness.
